AnimeNEXT  2010


Well, AnimeNEXT has Come and Gone. I must say best experince of my life. Now to start off my story so get ready this can be pretty long.

Start off Thursday Morning as I wake up at my friends Kevin house, pack anything we may have forgotten and hit the road. So far in my small car we have Me, Kevin and Pete. We drive to pick up our friend Erika who needed to go to the bank. So we pick her up, in the process breaking part of my alarm system. Its Fine easy fix, then we go and pick up our friend Scotty and pack his stuff JUST Barely Fitting everything in my small compact car. Now off To Jersey, the drive takes us about 2 hours and 30 minutes and was pretty easy if I may say so myself.   We get to the hotel at around 11:30 but check in isn’t till 3:00. So we decide to take a nice walk to get acquainted with our surrounding area. We take a walk to the Convention center to see how long it will take to walk back and forth.  On the way back we all decide to look for a shortcut, we found one and boy was it a good one. This shortcut cut time by 10 minutes and made it easier to get back and forth.  Now we come back and there is an opening in rooms so we are allowed to check in. THANK GOD, I could practically hear my cars suspension screaming. Now we get situated in the hotel and check out all the stuff in the room. We go get food and do some shopping and come back to go in the pool and hot tub. We talk about what we will do in the convention and how to get our friend Kevin a girl. We get out of the pool and go back to the room to get changed and ready for pre reg pickup. We go BACK to the store to pick up things we forgot and drive to the convention center. The line was long, and I mean long. I couldn’t believe how many people were there for Thursday pick up. Anyway we sit on the line scoping for girls for Kevin to meet. We talk to the group in front of us because they were amazing and liked Repo and Dr. Horrible.  Anyway, we pick up our badges Go home and Hang out for a bit.  Then we all try to hit the hay early so we can have a GREAT First day of the con.  Okay finally get to sleep around 1 am.  


Now Friday Morning.
AT 7:30 am….. I get a call from my ex …. I need a hotel room … I can check into mine. I am thinking to myself HOW CAN I HELP THAT … so I try to help her and I fail.  So I am now up against my will so I start to prepare my cosplay for Friday.  I have My Friend Scotty Paint my tattoos for my cosplay which is Kamina and I get my wig on.  Now my hair is too long for my wig so it looks like shit. I am kind of mad at this but anyway I get to the con. I end up getting there around like 10ish and start to walk around. At this time everything is alright, I meet up with my friend Saku, Naru, Sarg and Sam. I walk around with them practically being ogled by any preteen girl at this con because I’m shirtless. Sound Conceited I SURE DOOOOO.  Anyway I walk around with them for the majority of the time, stopping for quick drinks and stuff. Around 12, I get a call from my friend Cheryl. They need to be picked up at the train station in New Brunswick. I go pick them up and return to the con.  Around 3:00, I have had it with my kamina cosplay. So I go back to the hotel to change. Boy, I’ll tell you right now BEST DECISION of my life because if I did not change into Sora I would have never met someone, someone who is now very dear and special to me. But you shall find out about her soon enough promise . So I change into my Valor Form Sora Cosplay and go back to the con. Wait for my friend Susie to get there and pick up the keyblade there lending to me. Keyblade and all I find my friend sakura and naru again. They are going to go change into a different cosplay so I follow naru to her room because she doesn’t have to change all the way for her cosplay. So we are sitting in her Hotel room waiting for saku to finish changing…. Still Waiting… Still Waiting, Finally we get a call from her telling us to go down to her room. So we finish up in naru’s room and go down to sakus room. We watch her finish changing and walk back to the con center. The time around 6:30ish, we are walking around as there getting pictures taking.  We finally make it to the con Center around 7:00 where I see this Girl, I think she is around 14 years old but looks pretty chill. At this point, since I am no pedophile the last thing I thought was that I would like said girl because I thought she was 14.  So, This Girl who we will now call demyx says she has a panel to go to at 8 but needs to go early so she was leaving. Being it was a kingdom Hearts panel I decide to want to check it out. I ask if I can join them on the walk up since I would be going to the panel regardless. Demyx says yes and we walk to the doubletree. We get to her panel room and sit down waiting for a staff member to come give her the ok to come in. Demyx says, “CRAP Forgot a wig in my car let me get it” …. REWIND HERE…. This girl must be 14 she is she has to be….. I ask wait you drive? Demyx responds with “Yeah, how old do you think I am.”  I reply with “14?” She laughs at me and says she is 18….. Now let’s pan to what inner sora is thinking at this moment. So inner sora what are u thinking? <Inner Sora> “OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG …. SHES 18 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ….. This girl is so cute and she is 18 I MUST GET TO KNOW HER MORE” </InnerSora>


Anyway back to the real world, she goes to her car and gets her wig and comes back. She asks if I want to join her panel since well she needed a replacement.  I didn’t get the full story then but I said yes because well I wanted to be near her and I love to help people.  So I do the panel with them and BOY WAS IT FUN OMG WAS IT FUN. We Danced, joked and answered questions. I knew from then that this girl was something very special.  So at the end of the panel I wait for her to walk out so I could see what else was going on for the day, She says she has to go so knowing there’s still a weekend ahead of me I smile and say bye.   Btw, her name is Laura and she never left my mind for the rest of the convention.  So after I said bye, I went to find naru and saku again because we were going to go to the Friday night dance. So we go to the dance, which was smelly and small but was so much fun. After the rave I go back to the hotel, shower and sleep.  


Now it’s Saturday,
I wake up Eager to get to the con. I have to meet people at 10 for Skit Rehearsals and I can’t wait to see Laura again. So now we need to make my sora hair since imam cosplaying him today. We go to KMART AGAIN!!!!!!  This is the 3rd time. We pick up some got 2 be glued and get back to the hotel. My friend Cheryl does my hair for me and I run to the con.  I make it to main events at around 9:45 ish and wait for my skit members to get there. Everyone gets there around 10:30 expect one. WE ARE MISSING BILLY; HES NOT ANSWERING WE DOTN KNOW WHERE HE IS OMG OMG OMG DISASTER.  On top of all this I have a photoshoot at 12:30 in which Laura will be at and I don’t want to miss it.  So we get a hold of Billy who over slept and basically missed being dropped from the masquerade.  So now, since there is no time to let us rehearse now we have to meet up at 6:00 on the dot or else we won’t be able to compete. I say bye to the group and RUSH TO the kingdom hearts shoot. Turns out I’m early… 30 mins early and Laura isn’t there yet. So I run in to Sarah who was the axel in the panel. I talk to her for a bit take some photos and such.  We get a hold of Laura basically telling her to come now since the shoot already started. She says okay and comes as soon as she could. We take some photos; I get harassed by a Roxas and all in all good fun. After the photoshoot Laura tells me she has to go test for her brown belt. So I said okay and went to leave. Before I could leave she asked me for my number. I got so many butterflies in my stomach because I’m always the one who initiates the asking for numbers. So I get her number give her a hug and say bye.  After she leaves I go play some rock band because well I was bored and had no one fun to hang out with anymore. At around 4:00 I get a text from Laura saying she is back. I rush from rock band and go find her ASAP. I am racing to find her because at this point I am starting to fall for her and fall big time. I find her and we go to the artist ally together to pick up an id card she was having commissioned.  Being around her was always so amazing and nothing could make me angry or sad when she was around.  We then head to the dealers room around 5:00 to go look for a shirt she’s been wanting. We walk around getting stalked by some annoying kid who thinks he knows everything about kingdom Hearts. Anyway we find the shirt and by that time I have to go meet my skit people. I asked her if she was going to the skits, she says “Now I am since I have a reason to go”. My heart again sank and made me happy. We say our goodbyes and I run to get changed for the skits.  The skit is amazing, my group was great and after I get off I go find Laura again. I go and sit with her and her friends until we decide to leave. We go to a Match Game panel, thinking it was like a dating game but it wasn’t. It was like the match game show but all in all was very funny.  After that at like 10:30 we go to wait on line for the rave which I convinced her to go too. We wait on line talking about ex’s and cosplay and good things like that THEN SPEAK OF THE DEVIL, Look who decides to walk up to me. It’s my ex and I’m like FUCKKKKK, She’s going to ruin my chances with Laura, God dammnit why does she have to ruin everything. Well turns out she though Laura was cute and wasn’t as bad as I thought she would be. I try to get her to leave because well I wanted to talk to Laura about stuff but she wouldn’t. The line starts moving as Laura is texting her Ex Boyfriend and laughing. I kept thinking about why she would be laughing and such. We are dancing, she still texting [WHICH WAS NOT AKWARD ]. Anyway we are dancing, which I could of danced with her more but I was to chicken to ask but anyway she says she has to go because it’s 12:00. I walk her out and give her a hug; we promise we would see each other on Sunday. Trying to be sweet, I text her asking her to text me when she got home so I didn’t worry.  I get her reply at around 12:50. I now am able to fall asleep being she is home safe.

SUNDAY
Wake up at like 7:30, Put on my Soccer stuff and head to walk with my friend Kinju. We walk to the con and arrive at around 8:30. We are early, but it was fine because I was still kind of tired.  My friend Naru comes over and gives me the rest of her Monster energy drink which helped a lot.  We finally get into the con and walk over to the main area. Laura was already here because she was picked to be King and Queen of the Old School team in cosplay chess. I Say hi to her, but all I really wanted to do was hold her hand at this point x.x.  We talk for a bit and she had to go finish up for the chess game. I had to go play some soccer with Hetaila folks. After playing for a bit and probably humiliating myself in front of Laura who finished cosplay chess and came to watch me. (I fell into a bush and hurt myself just as she came out) We finish the first half but I was too hot to continue and well I wanted to hang out with Laura because at this point I’m beyond fallen for the girl. Even Knowing that she had to go to college in Canada was not stopping the feelings I had for her. We decide that it’s better that I go wash up a bit and change since I smelled really bad. Now, I run back to my hotel room thinking I could shower, NOPE NOT HAPPENING. My friends already checked out of the hotel. So I had to wash up in the bathroom and put somebody spray hoping that I won’t gross out Laura. I meet up with Laura at around 12:15 ish and we decide to watch some people beat the living crap out of each other.  Sitting Next to her watching this happen was such a surreal feeling. My mind was contemplating holding her hand or saying something witty but I was too scared to do anything, I just sat there frozen. So we sit here till around 12:45 then decided to get on the line to watch uncle yo perform. Again sitting next to her, now even closer I wanted to hold her hand but again I CHICKEND OUT. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME, I felt like an idiot because this would be the last chance I had to make that move. I blew it, after watching uncle yo who was very funny. The time had come, the time I did not want to ever happen. Laura had to go, my heart was tearing up my eyes wanted to tear. I kept my composure and walked with her to find her friends so they could leave. I walked with them back to the “Mom Mobile” to say my goodbyes.  As we are getting ready to say good bye Laura turns and gives me something. This something wasn’t just any something. This something was the best thing that could ever been given to me.  Laura had given me a papou fruit. Anyone who doesn’t understand this, in kingdom hearts when two people who share one of these fruits have their hearts and there destinies linked and intertwined for ever. I was so happy, but still really sad she had to leave. We hug to say our goodbyes. I wanted to kiss her right there, I really wanted to my body was telling me to but again I chickened out.  I turn to walk away, concealing a tear from her so she couldn’t see.  I am starting to tear as I write this remembering all the amazing times I had with her and how much I wish I could date her. Knowing she’s going to go to Canada for school is irrelevent to me.  I really like her and I will try my best to let her see that.

The End Of AnimeNEXT 2010;

Laura when u gets down to the end here, I hope you still think I’m cute and you still like me because I truly have fallen for you.  The end of AnimeNEXT after Laura left meant nothing to me because well Laura made my animeNEXT Happy. She made me remember that there was good in this world and that not everyone is bad.  Thank You Laura for this. You are One Special and amazing Girl.  
As I write this, Laura is off to graduate from HS and be one more step closer to adult hood.  I on the other hand have work at 6:00.  I hope I remembered everything.   Now I have one more thing to look forward too, and that is seeing Laura again in July or august
